Happy New Year!

Spies, Lies & Cybercrime by Eric O’Neill

As we prepare to leave 2024 in the rearview mirror (objects in mirror may be more chaotic than they appear), I wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Spies, Lies, and Cybercrime has been an incredible journey this year—full of espionage twists, cybercrime turns, and enough intrigue to keep even James Bond on his toes.

To all of you who’ve read, shared, and subscribed—you’re the real operatives making this mission a success. Without you, I’d just be a guy talking to himself about spies and ransomware.

Looking ahead to 2025, I promise even more jaw-dropping stories of betrayal, daring escapes (and a few that failed), and insider looks at the underworld of espionage and cybercrime. Each issue will be packed with lessons, a dash of insight, and maybe a side of “what-not-to-do” when it comes to trusting strangers and those impersonating your friends.

So, as we close the case file on 2024, let’s raise a glass (or a coffee mug, for my fellow night owls) to a new year filled with curiosity, growth, and just the right amount of intrigue to keep things interesting.

Here’s to a brilliant 2025. Weekly issues coming your way—don’t worry, I won’t miss a deadline.

Happy New Year! Here’s hoping 2025 is spectacular!

Eric
